work in progress for a new project, i dont usually post wips but this one ran so smoothly till now!!!
This is the (very rough) first pass in watercolors, i am just having fun with blocking in, and in some wet still areas you can see the salt i have spread for the effects later on.
Using watercolors half pans professional grade and kolinsky series 7.That's all.
Once the watercolor layer(s) is(are) done i can go crazy with the color pencils (and) or pan pastels. Although i have some ideas for this one...for mixing a different kind of media this time... we shall see...
what do you think?
in my end i would be tempted to just leave it as it is, there is a perfection in simplicity and lately i favor minimalism...but i will resist the temptation and exhaust it in the details lol (as i always do 
)

Technique ImpactSo, first critique.
Vision 4 Stars: It does strike me pleasantly on first glance.I am not an expert by any means, but right side of face should be, lighter a tone?
Originality 3 Stars: Seen child portraits all around, hard to differ.
Technique 4.5 Stars: It just feels right. I especially love the color mix at underhair section.
Impact 5 Stars: It does impact on my mood and i think that, that is what is asked here. Although it might not seem that to every single person but that's irrelevant. I write solely on my own perception.
TLDR; Well done, i loved it.
