Description
and NOW it is done (and done ) I followed Warren's advice to add watercolor splashes on both sides in the background and i worked with the pencils some more, although i thought i would add pan pastels as a third layer, it turned out i didn't because when i reached at the specific stage something "clicked" inside me and i knew it was alright and i was already at the point that anything else added on top would simply spoil the image, and i didn't want that to happen

VISION: I would like to start off by saying that this piece is absolutely beautiful. I first looked at the piece and thought that the piece was very wholesome and satisfying to the theme of innocence, so I feel that you absolutely used your vision in a productive and ultimately successful way.
ORIGINALITY: I do not feel that this piece is very original...it is commonplace to use a child's image to present the essence of innocence because nothing is more innocent than a child...except maybe animals?
TECHNIQUE: As always, your technique is impeccable. I think, unless the goal was to become looser as the image is developed more, that the bottom of the hair could've been more realistically implied as the rest of the hair was, but I feel you intended for this to happen so I will say nothing more on the matter.
IMPACT: This piece was very hard-hitting because of the vibrance and fluidity of the piece. It radiates the essence of innocence, and the watercolor really does help to make the piece stronger.
All in all, this piece is absolutely exquisite. I love the theme and I love the outcome - I just wish there was maybe something a little more to the piece than the face and the colors...but then again, an artist's perception is always different from the viewers! Amazing work. I love critiquing your work!!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
