Christina is a wonderful portrait artist. One think I love about her work is how she captures the life and soul in the portrait. I always feel like she has infused even more life into it that a photo even can. Her mastery of color is excellent, the shadows and highlights are so well done to make the image pop. She just goes so far beyond mere accuracy, it is such a treasure. The detail in the hair, skin, lips, eyes is incredible. Plus I want to take opportunity to say that she is one of the sweetest and most wonderful people on DA.
Outstanding piece, Christina. I'm in awe!!! I like the reflection of the flower on her face. The highlights are striking and used very effectively. The colors blend well and capture the essence of her skin-tone. You really did a good job putting this together. Her eyes are just captivating! I love the way you put in the reflections. The shades and background are well done also. Congratulations, you’ve created a jaw dropping piece of art!
Your work is really good and it only seems to get better. Your style is very good and the images are very precise. You work is near perfect and they look even better than the pictures they are done from. Your art bring out more highlights and contract which make the portrait standout better than a photograph. Your art will catch a persons attention quicker than the original photo would. So keep doing what you are!
Every time i do this i am in my element. It makes me utterly happy to create my own world with the strong vivid colors i so much love. It gives me purpose my dear, it makes me belong. And it makes me smile. Exactly how you just made me smile.
I'm constantly amazed by your works, including this piece. The use of the white gel pen added much to the realism The only comment I have is that the use of the white gel pen under her right eye appears a little unnatural because they were in different directions and don't really gel with the surrounding colors. Otherwise a wonderful piece
okay,i ll try to explain a couple of things here. I know what you see and i know what bothers you.The white lines you got to notice are not the only part i am exaggerating with in this piece. This is what i do David...I dont do photocopies.I push reality one step further(in MY point of view ofc). I will change my refs in an undeniable way and i will do this on purpose, its not some kind of accident.I know its not always easy to understand, (artists are a bit crazy i think ) but i thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindest words and the support.
