Description
In Greek Mythology a Dryad is a tree nymph. Such shy creatures can only be seen around Artemis, goddess of the hunt (as it was well known that Artemis was extremely friendly to all Dryads) and daughter of Zeus.
My Dryad is actually my second attempt with ballpoint pens, while my first one was here ---->
With her i will close my small detour with this media as i am satisfied and content with its course so far. In my heart it feels i have revealed its potential and i will openly admit, its a very challenging and demanding tool, also a very rewarding one.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThe beauty of this painting lies in the way the colors have been put together. The colorful hues of the fruits, and the greenish background gives it the nature- like feel, which, obviously, is what should be brought out since it's a dryad. You have done fantastic job, and considering the fact that you did with ballpoint pens...
The second thing I love is the texture. The slender branch looks quite realistic because of that texture. And plus, the usual texture you give to all the faces you paint... I just love it!!
One thing I felt, though, is that the eyebrows could have been more prominent. But the hair is very well drawn, and so are the lips!
