anything i say about her work and gallery will be too small so be so kind to take a look at her work with your own eyes m0thart.deviantart.com/gallery…

This picture looks pretty cool.

It is a difficult balance to strike between vibrant colors and a distracting mess.

I'm still trying to learn how to paint realistic people and it requires a lot of subtle contrasting colors, shadows, lights and textures.

With Photography control over light is a simple matter of redirecting light.

In a painting you create that light yourself.

It looks like you really paid a lot of close attention to your subjects face.

Some shadows really help glue together the human face in this painting.

The varying colors and textures create outlines without any actual visible outlines much like reality.

You really combined qualities of both realism and abstract painting by playing around with color.

I assume you imagined an invisible 3D box over your your painting to help plot the direction of light.

Try to use contrasting light and dark colors to make the most important details on the girl's face pop.

Human skin has a subtle oil like texture to it.

Human skin will be somewhat shiny under light.

Hair also shines under light.

You did a great job on the girl's lips and teeth.

I like all the textures in the girl's eye.

Some dull reflection of light and the environment will add an extra layer of reality to your painting.

Your best bet will be to keep start your painting simple.

Plot out your shapes carefully and apply 3D painting techniques last.

You can still paint a hell of lot better than I could but I tried my best to give your painting some constructive criticism.

Keep on painting.

You are obviously very skilled and talented.
