This is somehow odd as it begun with a b/w ref and obviously it didn't turn b/w at all... A living proof that i see colors everywhere! Even where they don't exist at all...
Thing is i didn't want to do a b/w piece,my goal was to use a low profile-monochromatic pallet so to bring character and depth (in my point of view) to a celeb portrait.I am well aware that this came with a price as now my girl here doesn't look exactly like Hilary Duff, i can assure you though, she was my ref.

Amazing, I always thought she looked very sensual and devious with the long dark hair, much better than the blonde, I have an entire folder filled with pictures of her like this to use as references because I just love the way she looks. you did a wonderful job on this, I knew right away exactly who this was, and it is a beautiful piece.
you are so sweet!!! when i did this the first thing that crossed my mind was that i f***d up this time, because to add colors out of the blue was a risk, it seems that fortunately her features didnt change over that, and i am happy for it!
I am not 'so good' my dear friend, i do need loads of practice still and it will take me ages to reach the level i wish to reach, and if this life is enough for all my expectations then this is something that remains to be seen. Thank you for the lovely words and the support!
